Our favorite hotel at the Disneyland Resort: Anaheim Residence Inn

January 16, 2019

We LOVE the Disneyland Resort. We love it so much, that even though we live in New Jersey, we make it to the Happiest Place on Earth 3-5 times a year. I grew up in Southern California and my family is still there so its pretty easy for us to make it happen on our visits. We may be Disney obsessed and since we come out so often have invested in Annual Passes.

To get the most out of our passes we make sure we go to Disneyland at least once every time we visit my family. To really get our money's worth, we usually stay in the area so we can visit the park all day and night, usually for multiple days. Our Favorite hotel to stay at when we visit Disneyland is by far the Anaheim Residence Inn. Here’s why:

  • The Residence Inn is an all suite, extended stay property with huge rooms and several room types

    • Studio suite

    • King/Queen 1 bedroom suites

    • 2 bedroom suites:

      • Kids suite with 2 queens in one bedroom, bunk beds in second bedroom, and 2 bathrooms

      • Executive suite with 2 queens in one bedroom, king bed in second bedroom

  • Every room has a full kitchen complete with dishwasher, stove, microwave, dishes and anything you need to clean up. Very helpful with a baby or toddler. We can properly wash bottles and dishes and feed him all his favorites.

  • Free daily breakfast buffet, coffee and ice water available all day in the lobby. This breakfast is legit. It is a hot breakfast with eggs, make your own waffles, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh sliced fruit and whole pieces of fruit like bananas and apples you can take with you. We always fill up here first thing in the morning, one less meal to buy!

  • Bar open during the evening

  • Only .7 miles from the main gates of Disneyland with a CVS and awesome convenience store along the way for those last minute snacks or forgotten items.

This property is a newer hotel in the area and that means it has some pretty nice conveniences that older properties just don't have. My favorite being USB wall sockets throughout the space, easy on the eyes reading lights on either side of every bed, and smart TVs that allow you to sign into your own Netflix accounts.

It's the little things.
